Refund Policy

A legal disclaimer

At Sumo Nations Experience, we put significant time, planning and financial commitment into producing each live event. Costs including venue hire, athletes, staffing, production, equipment, marketing, insurance and administration are often committed well in advance.

For this reason, our ticket sales are subject to a strict all-sales-final policy.

Please read this Refund & Cancellation Policy carefully before purchasing tickets. By completing a ticket purchase, you acknowledge and agree to this policy.

Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude, restrict or waive any consumer right or remedy that cannot legally be excluded under applicable federal, state or local law.

1. ALL SALES ARE FINAL

All ticket sales are final. Tickets are non-refundable if you are unable or choose not to attend an event for any reason, except where a refund is required by applicable law.

Once your purchase has been completed, we do not provide refunds, credits or exchanges simply because you are unable to use your ticket.

This policy applies regardless of the reason for non-attendance.

Customers are responsible for checking the event city, venue, date, start time, ticket type and number of tickets before completing their purchase.

If the event proceeds as scheduled but you cannot or choose not to attend, you are not entitled to a refund.

2. NO REFUNDS FOR PERSONAL CIRCUMSTANCES

We understand that unexpected circumstances can happen. However, event costs and commitments are made in advance based partly on tickets sold.

We therefore do not provide refunds, credits or exchanges because of changes in a customer's personal circumstances.

This includes, without limitation:

  • Change of mind

  • Change of personal plans

  • Work commitments

  • Family commitments

  • Childcare difficulties

  • Scheduling conflicts

  • Financial circumstances

  • Moving or relocating

  • Forgetting about the event

  • Purchasing tickets for another commitment on the same date

  • Deciding that you no longer wish to attend

Personal circumstances do not make a ticket refundable.

3. ILLNESS, INJURY AND MEDICAL CIRCUMSTANCES

Tickets are not ordinarily refundable because the ticket holder, a family member, friend or another member of their party becomes ill, injured or otherwise unable to attend.

This includes unexpected illness or medical circumstances occurring before the event.

If the event itself proceeds as scheduled, the ticket remains non-refundable except where applicable law requires otherwise.

Customers concerned about unforeseen circumstances may wish to investigate appropriate third-party ticket, travel or event insurance where available.

4. TRAVEL AND TRANSPORTATION PROBLEMS

Customers are responsible for making their own arrangements to reach the event.

We do not provide refunds because of circumstances including:

  • Missed, delayed or cancelled flights

  • Train or public transportation disruption

  • Traffic congestion

  • Road closures

  • Vehicle breakdowns

  • Taxi or rideshare problems

  • Parking difficulties

  • Missed connections

  • Travel delays

  • Accommodation problems

  • Failure to arrange transportation

  • Failure to obtain appropriate travel documentation

If Sumo Nations Experience proceeds as scheduled, transportation or travel problems affecting an individual customer do not make their ticket refundable.

5. WEATHER

If an event proceeds as scheduled, tickets remain non-refundable even where weather conditions make travelling to or attending the event difficult or undesirable for an individual customer.

Customers are responsible for making their own decisions regarding travel conditions.

If Sumo Nations Experience cancels or reschedules an event because of severe weather, the cancellation or rescheduling provisions below will apply.

6. INCORRECT BOOKINGS

Customers are responsible for checking all booking information before completing payment.

Please carefully confirm the event location, date, time, ticket type, quantity and other relevant information.

Purchasing tickets for the wrong city, date, performance or ticket category does not automatically entitle the customer to a refund, credit or exchange.

We may, entirely at our discretion and where operationally possible, assist with correcting a genuine booking error before the event. However, we do not guarantee that any change can be made, and this does not create an entitlement to a refund.

Nothing in this section affects rights required by applicable law.

7. DUPLICATE TRANSACTIONS

If you believe a genuine technical error has caused the same transaction to be processed more than once, please contact us promptly.

We will investigate legitimate duplicate-payment claims.

Where we confirm that a genuine duplicate transaction has occurred, we may reverse or refund the duplicate transaction as appropriate.

This does not apply where a customer intentionally completed separate purchases or subsequently decides that fewer tickets are required.

8. FAILURE TO ATTEND

If you fail to attend an event and the event proceeds as scheduled, no refund, credit, exchange or replacement ticket will be provided solely because you did not attend.

Unused tickets do not acquire a refund value after the event has taken place.

This applies whether you miss part of the event or the entire event.

9. LATE ARRIVAL

Customers are responsible for arriving at the venue with sufficient time to park, enter the venue, complete any security procedures and locate their seating or viewing area.

The event may begin without late-arriving customers.

Depending on the venue and event format, late admission may be delayed until an appropriate point in the performance.

If you arrive late and miss part or all of the event, you will not be entitled to a refund, credit or replacement ticket solely because of your late arrival.

10. REFUSED ENTRY OR REMOVAL

Customers must comply with reasonable venue rules, event policies, security requirements and instructions from authorized staff.

A refund will not ordinarily be provided where a customer is lawfully refused entry or removed from an event because of seriously disruptive, threatening, abusive or dangerous conduct, excessive intoxication, prohibited items, attempted unauthorized entry or failure to follow reasonable safety or venue instructions.

This section does not affect any rights that cannot legally be excluded.

11. CHANGES TO ATHLETES

Sumo Nations Experience is a live sporting and entertainment experience.

Athlete participation may change because of injury, illness, travel difficulties, sporting commitments, scheduling issues or other circumstances.

Participating athletes may therefore vary between events.

Unless expressly stated otherwise during the ticket sale, your ticket is for admission to the overall Sumo Nations Experience and does not guarantee the appearance of any particular athlete.

A substitution, withdrawal or change of an individual athlete does not automatically entitle the ticket holder to a refund.

12. CHANGES TO THE EVENT

Live events can change.

We reserve the right, where reasonably necessary, to make changes to matters including participating athletes, hosts, bouts, demonstrations, running order, event content, production elements, audience activities and event duration.

Reasonable changes to the programme do not automatically make tickets refundable.

Where a change is sufficiently material to create refund or other rights under applicable law, those rights will be honored.

13. EVENT TIME CHANGES

Event schedules may occasionally need to be adjusted.

Where reasonably possible, we will communicate significant changes using the contact details associated with the booking.

Minor changes to door times, start times, running order or event schedules do not automatically entitle customers to refunds.

Any rights arising from a substantial schedule change will be handled in accordance with applicable law.

14. VENUE CHANGES

In exceptional circumstances, we may need to move an event to another venue because of operational, production, availability, capacity, safety or other considerations.

Where reasonably possible, we will attempt to provide an alternative venue within the same general city or market.

Existing tickets will generally remain valid for the replacement venue.

A venue change does not automatically create an entitlement to a refund unless required by applicable law or expressly offered by Sumo Nations Experience.

15. EVENT POSTPONEMENT OR RESCHEDULING

If an event is postponed or rescheduled, existing tickets will generally remain valid for the replacement date.

Customers will be informed of the new arrangements using the contact information associated with their booking.

Where applicable law requires customers to be offered a refund following a postponement or material change, we will comply with that requirement.

Where we voluntarily provide a refund option, we may establish a reasonable deadline for submitting requests. The applicable deadline and instructions will be communicated to affected customers.

Failure to request an available refund within the stated period may result in the ticket remaining valid for the rescheduled event, subject to applicable law.

16. EVENT CANCELLATION

The strict no-refund provisions above apply when the event takes place but the customer cannot or chooses not to attend.

Different provisions apply where Sumo Nations Experience cancels the event itself.

If Sumo Nations Experience cancels an event in its entirety and the event is not rescheduled, affected ticket holders will receive the refund or other remedy required under applicable federal, state or local law.

Where a refund is due, it will generally be returned to the original payment method where reasonably possible.

17. TRAVEL, HOTEL AND OTHER EXPENSES

Purchasing a ticket to Sumo Nations Experience does not make us responsible for separate arrangements you make in connection with attending the event.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for separately purchased expenses including:

Flights, hotels, accommodation, rental vehicles, taxis, public transportation, fuel, parking, meals, childcare, pet care, travel insurance or lost wages.

This applies to event cancellations, postponements, schedule changes or venue changes except where applicable law provides otherwise.

Customers travelling specifically for an event should consider flexible or refundable travel and accommodation arrangements.

18. TICKET TRANSFERS

Whether tickets can be transferred to another person depends on the event and the ticketing platform through which the tickets were purchased.

Where transfers are permitted, customers must follow the official transfer process.

The inability to transfer or resell a ticket does not make that ticket refundable.

19. UNAUTHORIZED RESALE

We cannot guarantee the validity of tickets purchased through unauthorized third-party sellers or resale platforms.

Customers purchasing tickets from third parties do so subject to applicable law and any relevant resale terms.

Where permitted by applicable law, fraudulently obtained, duplicated, counterfeit or otherwise invalid tickets may be refused.

20. SERVICE, BOOKING AND PROCESSING FEES

Ticket purchases may include booking, facility, payment-processing or other fees.

Whether such fees are refundable depends on the circumstances, the applicable ticketing or payment provider and applicable law.

Where applicable law requires a particular fee to be refunded, we will comply with that requirement.

21. APPROVED REFUNDS

Where a refund is required by law or otherwise approved by Sumo Nations Experience, we will generally issue the refund to the original payment method.

Once we have submitted a refund, your bank, credit card company or payment processor may require additional time to return the funds to your account.

Processing times imposed by third-party financial institutions are outside our control.

22. CIRCUMSTANCES OUTSIDE OUR REASONABLE CONTROL

Live events may occasionally be affected by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including severe weather, natural disasters, venue emergencies, utility failures, government action, public-health emergencies, transportation disruption, civil emergencies or other serious unforeseen circumstances.

Where circumstances outside our reasonable control affect an event, we will take reasonable steps to communicate material changes to affected customers.

Whether an event is cancelled, postponed, relocated or otherwise modified will depend on the circumstances.

Any refund rights will be determined by applicable law and this policy.

23. CHARGEBACKS AND PAYMENT DISPUTES

If you believe there is a genuine problem with your transaction, please contact us first so that we have an opportunity to investigate and resolve the issue.

Nothing in this policy restricts a customer's lawful right to dispute a transaction through their card issuer, payment provider or another process available under applicable law.

Where a payment dispute is submitted, we reserve the right to provide the relevant payment provider with legitimate evidence concerning the transaction, including booking information, applicable refund terms, ticket delivery records, communications and other relevant records.

24. STATE AND LOCAL CONSUMER RIGHTS

Consumer-protection, ticketing and refund requirements vary across the United States.

Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude, restrict or waive a right that cannot legally be excluded under applicable federal, state or local law.

If a provision of this policy conflicts with a mandatory legal requirement applicable to a particular transaction, the mandatory legal requirement will control to the extent of that conflict.

25. POLICY CHANGES

We may update this Refund & Cancellation Policy from time to time for future ticket purchases.

The policy applicable to your booking will generally be the version presented or in effect when your purchase was completed, except where a change is required or otherwise permitted by applicable law.
